National Leadership Team

ISMC is looking for leaders with a passion to multiply ministry to international students through casting vision, recruiting and mentoring young leaders and partnering with churches till every student has had the opportunity to be loved and led in their relationship with Jesus.

Church Connections Catalyst

Flexible location

The Church Connections Catalyst is responsible to fulfill our mission’s sixth strategy in our Vision 2020+ quest to create an ace consultancy in ISM work catalyzing ISM in Canada and globally.

Leadership Development Trainer

Flexible location

Leadership Development Trainer is a crucial member of the National Leadership Development Team. Working closely with the team, the Leadership Development Trainer will provide training and coaching to ISMC staff to excel in developing their leadership and empower them to train and support others to do the same.

Digital Field Director

Flexible location

Digital Field Director will play the lead role in developing and implementing ISMC’s strategy for effective online ministry. A crucial component of this role will be the recruitment, development and overall leadership of a digital field team. ISMC views the Digital Field as an essential component (alongside our National Field and International Field) to fulfilling our vision of reaching every international student in Canada.

ISMC believes that “everything rises & falls on leadership” and is passionate that every city ministry is led by a leader who can see the Big Picture. Each city ministry has its own dynamic flavor that we celebrate and at the same time we are building a national unity among our staff, from the Pacific to the Atlantic!

City Director

Montreal, Quebec

Every year, Montreal hosts more than 18,000 foreign students from more than 150 countries. The 2017 QS Best Student Cities survey ranked Montreal the best city in the world for students, placing it ahead of Paris (second), London (third), Boston (eighth), and Toronto (11th).  ISMC is looking for a leader who can build up the existing ministry and team. Building relationships and partnerships with local churches and other international student ministries are the a keys elements of this position.

City Director

Kelowna, British Columbia

The City Director will recruit, develop, and lead the local ministry team toward fulfilling ISMC’s mission and vision in their city. They play a crucial role in connecting the local team to the national ISMC family. They will lead the city team to discern international students’ needs, develop strategical plans, and ensure the implementation and development of local ministry initiatives and programs. They represent ISMC and build partnerships with local Christian communities and organizations to mobilize Christians to join the international student discipleship movement.

They represent ISMC and build partnerships with local Christian communities and organizations to mobilize Christians to join the international student discipleship movement.

Canada Summer Jobs Program

Canada Summer Jobs is an initiative of the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy, which aims to provide flexible and holistic services to help all young Canadians develop the skills and gain paid work experience to successfully transition into the labour market.

Program Coordinator, Recreation

St. Catharines, Ontario

The Program Coordinator will identify, plan, coordinate, and implement social, practical and spiritual support events online and in-person (compliance with the provincial COVID safety guideline).

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (AB1)

Toronto, Ontario

The Administrative Assistant will support the GTA City Director in supporting, administering, coordinating, and implementing student engagement activities, while also developing skills in a mentoring environment.

Event Coordinator

Halifax, Nova Scotia

The Event Coordinator will identify, plan, coordinate, and implement social, cultural, and athletic events online and in-person (compliance with the provincial COVID safety guideline). As a member of the Halifax team, he/she will work alongside other team members to focus on connecting international students and volunteers and facilitating a genuine and respectful international student community.

Program Coordinator, Recreation

Welland, Ontario

The Program Coordinator will identify, plan, coordinate, and implement social, practical and spiritual support events online and in-person (compliance with the provincial COVID safety guideline).

Youth Worker (YB1)

 Willowdale, Ontario

The Youth Worker will creatively identify, plan and implement social, cultural, and spiritual events (while COVID restrictions are in effect, activities will mainly be online) focused on international students, while also developing skills in a mentoring environment.
