MISSION STATEMENT

We seek to love international students unconditionally, partner with local churches in leading international students to discover Jesus through the Word of God, and prepare them to serve God where He leads them.

SUMMARY

The Research and Communication Assistant is responsible to assist the City Director in organizing and planning outreach connected with newcomer communities and international students. These responsibilities include but are not limited to research, communication, administrative support and data management.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Evaluate and utilize electronic solutions to organize and communicate data
  2. Research and collect data regarding newcomers, international students, and the individuals, campuses and agencies serving them
  3. Conduct electronic, phone and face to face marketing and communications related to organizational objectives
  4. Prepare monthly prayer letters for donors and supporters.

RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Report to the City Director and actively participate in a mentoring relationship  
  2. Collaborate with the churches, parachurch organizations, agencies and individuals in pursuit of the organizational mission statement
  3. Engage in ongoing Professional and Spiritual Development  

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

  1. A university education and demonstrated experience doing independent research is preferred
  2. Between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment
  3. Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act*
  4. Legally entitled to work according to the Ontario legislation and regulations*International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents.
