We seek to love international students unconditionally, partner with local churches in leading international students to discover Jesus through the Word of God, and prepare them to serve God where He leads them.

SUMMARY

The Recreation Coordinator will plan and implement social, cultural and athletic events (while COVID restrictions are in effect, activities will mainly be online) focused on international students, while also developing their skills in a mentoring environment.

DETAILS

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Research, plan, implement and lead social, cultural and athletic events (during COVID this will largely be
   limited to online engagements), primarily for international students
2. Connect and build relations with school departments and student groups
3. Correspond with team members and partner organizations, answer telephone and electronic enquiries, schedule and confirm appointments

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Between the age of 15 and 30.
2. Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under
   the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.
3. Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada.
4. Oral & written English communication skills, ability to function both independently and under supervision
5. Proven ability to design and manage activities in a dynamic and creative environment.
6. Both online and interpersonal networking and engagement skills are beneficial.
