POSITION SUMMARY

The Media Coordinator will plan, populate, and implement online platforms to meet international students’ practical, social and spiritual needs while growing themselves under a mentoring environment.

POSITION DETAILS

Position Type: Temporary Part-Time (June 21, 2021 – August 20, 2021; 30 hours/week for 9 weeks)
Salary: $14.35/hr (Position made possible by Canada Summer Job)
Location: Greater Toronto Area. While COVID restrictions are in effect, most activities will be online, but preference will be given to candidates in the Scarborough-Guildwood riding.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. Collaborate and correspond with team members and partner organizations to research, plan, implement, and populate online platforms, focused on international students’ practical, social and spiritual needs.
2. Connect and build relations with ministry partners and student groups to populate & promote the site.
3. Pursue growth in practical skills and spiritual formation in a mentoring environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Between the age of 15 and 30.
2. Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.
3. Have a valid Social Insurance Number and be legally entitled to work in Canada.
4. Oral & written English communications skills, ability to function both independently and under supervision
5. Proven ability to design and manage online platforms in a dynamic and creative environment.
6. Both online and interpersonal networking and engagement skills are beneficial.
