POSITION SUMMARY
The Furniture Ministry Coordinator oversees furniture ministry activities, including volunteer recruitment, training, and management for furniture delivery for the Niagara International Students (NIS). Responsibilities include maintaining a waiting list of applicants, coordinating pickups and deliveries, managing an inventory of available furniture, and maintaining regular communication with volunteers.

Position Type: Volunteer or Part-Time, Partnership Development Required.
Location: Niagara Region, ON
Accountable To: City Director, Niagara Region
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Furniture Ministry Coordinator is expected to:
- Recruit, train, and manage furniture delivery volunteers to:
- -Visually and physically inspect furniture donations before acceptance
- -Treat students fairly and non-judgmentally when delivering
- -Be aware of surroundings and report necessary information to coordinator
- Maintain a furniture waiting list with frequency and accuracy
- Coordinate donation pick-ups and student deliveries with furniture volunteers
- Produce a monthly report for the Furniture Ministry
- Maintain an accurate inventory or list of available items and furniture (currently we use Google Docs)
- Keep an open line of communication with furniture volunteers and regularly obtain their feedback in order to improve the ministry
PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT:
- Establish regular times of prayer for God’s wisdom and direction in the ministry
- Establish a weekly Sabbath
- Attend city team meetings

SKILLS AND COMPETENCY:
