Fundraising for staff salary goals includes salary needs, ministry expenses, and an 11% administration fee.
Donations are receipted only for staff and projects approved by the governing board. Designated gifts are used for the purpose for which they are given; when that given need is met, excess funds are used where needed most.
Gifts of $10 or more are acknowledged with an emailed income tax receipt from Canada Helps.
Online donations are subject to a 3.5% to 4% transaction processing fee. To ensure the total amount of your donation goes to ISMC, you may explore other giving options.

Recognizing the challenges young people face in today’s complex world, I believe there is a profound need for spiritual guidance. My mission is to share the light of Jesus with you and to also embody that light among you.
Here in Ottawa, we have several initiatives to connect with international students:
- Fun Activities: Being far from home, it’s natural to feel lonely. That’s why we organize social activities like board games, hiking, and exploring diverse cuisines. These events aim to foster friendships and create a sense of belonging.
- Spiritual Engagement: For those who are interested, we offer opportunities to learn about Jesus and explore spirituality in everyday life.
- Entrepreneurship: As Christians, we believe creativity is inherent to our nature as beings made in God’s image. I’m passionate about helping young people start their own businesses, not only to support themselves but also to contribute to God’s kingdom.
