Fundraising for staff salary goals includes salary needs, ministry expenses, and an 11% administration fee.
Donations are receipted only for staff and projects approved by the governing board. Designated gifts are used for the purpose for which they are given; when that given need is met, excess funds are used where needed most.
Gifts of $10 or more are acknowledged with an emailed income tax receipt from Canada Helps.
Online donations are subject to a 3.5% to 4% transaction processing fee. To ensure the total amount of your donation goes to ISMC, you may explore other giving options.
Ruth and I love being with international students. It is fun to help them learn English in order to improve their education. Meeting with them for meals and discussions gives us opportunities to expose them to Jesus’ love and what it means to be His follower. We want to end our ministry well by investing faithfully in their lives.
We have moved from national leadership roles to working with the local team in Calgary, specifically with the the Mount Royal University students. Our MRU FOCUS club meets each Wednesday evening at our church, Lakeview Baptist. As well I do offer spiritual care to our staff and ISMC retirees.
We desire to end well with our finances so will be looking for more partners who will support us financially for the next couple of years. With a current a shortfall of $1000 monthly we plan to raise that amount this coming year by seeking 20 donors who will commit to $25 a month and 10 donors who will commit to $50 a month. One time donations greatly help to cover the shortfall. If you are interested in helping out, please let us know or donate through ISMC’s website.
