Fundraising for staff salary goals includes salary needs, ministry expenses, and an 11% administration fee.
Donations are receipted only for staff and projects approved by the governing board. Designated gifts are used for the purpose for which they are given; when that given need is met, excess funds are used where needed most.
Gifts of $10 or more are acknowledged with an emailed income tax receipt from Canada Helps.
Online donations are subject to a 3.5% to 4% transaction processing fee. To ensure the total amount of your donation goes to ISMC, you may explore other giving options.
I have volunteered with ISMC Calgary for a long time. Recently retired from my technical analyst position at the University of Calgary, I am excited to dedicate more time to serving international students. I enjoy building relationships with people from around the world, learning technologies, apologetics, and mission-related work. I also love outdoor activities and look forward to inviting students to join my outdoor adventures!
My main responsibilities as the ISMC liaison/technical assistant on campus:
- be a primary contact between ISMC and other Christian ministries at the U of C;
- assist staff and volunteers in Calgary to use technology to maintain contact with students;
- facilitate outdoor events.
