Fundraising for staff salary goals includes salary needs, ministry expenses, and an 11% administration fee.
Donations are receipted only for staff and projects approved by the governing board. Designated gifts are used for the purpose for which they are given; when that given need is met, excess funds are used where needed most.
Gifts of $10 or more are acknowledged with an emailed income tax receipt from Canada Helps.
Online donations are subject to a 3.5% to 4% transaction processing fee. To ensure the total amount of your donation goes to ISMC, you may explore other giving options.
SURPRISE!
Yes, it is a surprise to both me and my friends that the Lord has led me to serve in the ministry. When I came to Canada six years ago for study, I never thought that my life would be totally transformed by knowing and following Jesus!
I first joined FOCUS Club as an international student. After two year of reading the Bible and seeking the Lord, I finally accepted Christ as my personal Saviour. Knowing God is like seeing the LIght in the darkness. He adds purpose and joy to my life.
After I graduated, I started to get involved at FOCUS Club and serve this community of loving Christians. I believe that my experience and understanding of international students would bless this ministry. Speaking the same ‘language” of most international students should be a great help!
I felt led to step further and join ISMC as the FOCUS Club Coordinator. My responsibilities are:
- to develop a deeper understanding about the needs of international students;
- to plan and lead practical and sound Chriistian teaching;
- to build and work with the team of volunteers;
- and to plan and pray for outreach actiities.
All these works will need your support and prayer. I pray that that my contribution to the ministry would bless students, volunteers, and staff, and especially to advance the Kingdom of God.
