Fundraising for staff salary goals includes salary needs, ministry expenses, and an 11% administration fee.
Donations are receipted only for staff and projects approved by the governing board. Designated gifts are used for the purpose for which they are given; when that given need is met, excess funds are used where needed most.
Gifts of $10 or more are acknowledged with an emailed income tax receipt from Canada Helps.
Online donations are subject to a 3.5% to 4% transaction processing fee. To ensure the total amount of your donation goes to ISMC, you may explore other giving options.
I was a police officer at the Edmonton Police Service for 35 years and retired in 2017. In January 2018, I joined ISMC as associate staff and interim city director.
My wife Kathy and I have been involved with ISMC for six years after being invited by friends to check out this ministry opportunity. It quickly became a highlight of our week. We believe that taking on the city director role is a great opportunity to coordinate the work of the many outstanding volunteers in the various ministries in ISMC Edmonton.
Kathy and I, married for 34 years, have four children (three married sons and a daughter) and two grandchildren.
