Fundraising for staff salary goals includes salary needs, ministry expenses, and an 11% administration fee.
Donations are receipted only for staff and projects approved by the governing board. Designated gifts are used for the purpose for which they are given; when that given need is met, excess funds are used where needed most.
Gifts of $10 or more are acknowledged with an emailed income tax receipt from Canada Helps.
Online donations are subject to a 3.5% to 4% transaction processing fee. To ensure the total amount of your donation goes to ISMC, you may explore other giving options.
We are retired seniors, married for over 40 years. Raised in Christian families, we now have four adult children and ten grandchildren. With some extra time on our hands, we have been volunteering to pick up students arriving at Toronto Pearson Airport to go to the University of Guelph (a 150 km round trip). We stay connected with the international students by offering local rides to special events and hosting a games night once a month at our church, where we provide snacks, games, and fellowship. We also host supper and games at our home to spend time encouraging individual students.
