Jacky is an international worker with the C&MA in Canada. He holds a Ph.D. in international development and teaches missiology in seminaries. He was an international student in UK and practiced engineering in Canada. His passion: to see more Canadian families actively sharing Christ’s love with international students in North America. Jacky and his wife live in Alberta. They have two married children and six grandchildren.
Hanni, from the Middle East, immigrated to Canada in 2006. She holds an M.Sc. Engineering and has worked as a lab supervisor at different universities since 1995. Hanni and her husband, Sam, have a strong passion for helping international students settle down in Canada. They have spoken in many venues and to small groups about this important endeavor. Hanni and Sam love to explain how to effectively connect with and share God’s love with our international students.
David married Margo in 1983 and they live in Winnipeg. They have three daughters: Caitlin (Chris), Amy (Matt), and Becky. Caitlin is a teacher and Amy and Becky operate the family business—Executive Nursing and Healthcare Services.
David is a (semi) retired CPA with 35 years of experience. After working in industry for 12 years, he took on a number of projects as an entrepreneur: fitness (six Curves locations), general insurance (three locations), electronics/home security, and more recently, healthcare.
David has returned to the Board after serving his first six-year term. During the final stage of this term, David was chairman and participated in hiring current president Yaw Perbi. David is involved in providing consulting services and support to ISMC Winnipeg.
Tim is an American transplant. He and his wife, Barb, moved to the Quebec City region in 1986 to begin a missionary career. They raised three children in the French-Canadian culture, which means that they are fluently bilingual. Serving with Across Borders for World Evangelism Canada, church-planting and theological education have been their passion for 32 years. Tim is ABWE’s regional director for central Canada and the USA northeast, a role that allows him to coach and mentor missionary colleagues.
When approached about the possibility of joining the ISMC board, Tim accepted, primarily because of the opportunity to help expand ISMC’s ministry to French-speaking churches and francophone campuses and the many international students whose study language is French.
